International banking
services of BNBL are provided/delivered for the
benefit of all of its customers, through its branches
and through a wide network of BNBL's correspondent
banks around the globe. The main services, inter
alia, are as mentioned below:
1. Buying and selling of major foreign currency
notes and TCs over the counter at branches. Personal
USD cheques payable in the USA and GBP/EUR cheques
are also accepted for collection.
2. Trade Finance: Issuance, advice, negotiation
of Indian Rupee and foreign currency Letters of
Credit and Guarantees, collection of clean and documentary
credits, Export Bill discounting, Import financing,
etc.
3. Fund Remittance facilities by Cheques/Drafts/TT:
BNB has the facilities to remit/receive foreign
exchange from and to any part of the world on behalf
of its customers.
4. Acquiring/acceptance of VISA Credit Card for
purchase of goods from the Bhutanese merchants and
for hotel bill payments.
5. BNBL is delighted to announce for the first time
in Bhutan the introduction of the Gold Visa International
Credit Card in collaboration
with the Standard Chartered Bank, India. |
